Former Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) has a hard time believing former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe’s recent assertion that he spoke with members of the “Gang of Eight” about his plans to investigate President Trump.
“I listened to Devin (Nunes) and Paul (Ryan) quiz the DOJ and the DOJ for hours on multiple occasions about the one counterintelligence investigation we all knew about it. I find it stunning that they would know about a second one and not say a single solitary word,” Gowdy told Fox News’ Martha MacCallum. “And I will continue to not believe they knew about it unless one or the other contradicts it.”
McCabe told the “Today” show on Tuesday that he told members of the “Gang of Eight” that the FBI was planning to open a counterintelligence probe into Trump because of his handling of the firing of former FBI Director James Comey. No members objected to the investigation, according to McCabe.

So, sucking up to get that Federal judgeship, eh?
“And I will continue to not believe they knew about it unless one or the other contradicts it.”
Is there some impedient to asking them or is it just easier to mindlessly flap your gums?
This is me, but he’s just being a team player.
He’s saying that Nunes can’t hold a secret, no matter how sensitive? He has a point.
