House Intelligence Committee ranking member Devin Nunes (R-CA) took a dig at Democrats and reporters in the room while questioning acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire on Thursday.
“Well I appreciate you being here. Have fun — be careful what you say because they’re going to use these words against you,” he said.
“Well, I tell you what, ranking member, either way I’m honored to be here and I’m honored to be leading the intelligence community.”
Nunes then thanked Maguire for his service to the country and said he hoped next time they talked it would be “behind closed doors like this is supposed to be done.”

Is that a threat? I think that is a threat. I think you just threatened a witness.
Well done, sir - a threat against a witness on national television.
Where do they find these people?
What Nunes does not understand is that this is 2019, not 2017.
Because you can’t kill democracy when the lights are still on.
We’ve definitely gone ‘round the bend.
