Rep. James Comer (R-KY) referenced the opening lines of Michael Cohen’s testimony where he calls President Donald Trump “a cheat” at the hearing Wednesday, asking what Cohen would label himself.
“A fool,” Cohen responded.
Comer seemed taken aback. “Well, no comment on that,” he said after a beat.
“I appreciate that,” Cohen quipped.

Correction: This post originally stated that Comer represents Tennessee. He represents Kentucky. We regret the error.
Good answer. The self-deprecation beats them to the punch and deflates their attempts to go on their planned insulting smear-tirades. Seems like he’s really coming across as a guy whose made peace with the fact that he did bad shit, is paying and about to pay dearly for it and now just wants to speak the truth.
This dickhead, Comer, may be running for Gov. of KY this year. He lost last round because of a woman who claimed he sexually assaulted her in college. This was before #metoo and we are dealing with the white good ol’ boy dominance in KY politics and though it killed his campaign, that woman went through some shit.
one thing for sure,
the republicans sure are good at the job of being
Carnival Barkers
A real self-own on Comer’s part. He should have seen that Cohen is angling for a semblance of self-pity and Comer walked into the trap.
“Congressman, would you join me in a cup of tea?”
“Is there room?”
