Rep. Chris Curbelo (R-FL), currently in the reelection fight of his life against Democratic challenger Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, sought to distance himself from the suddenly toxic Rep. Steve King (R-IA), whose white nationalist ties are proving problematic for him for the first time.

“His comments and his actions are disgusting,” Curbelo said to MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell. “And look, I know nothing about his opponent, but I will tell you this: I would never cast a ballot for someone like Steve King.”

Though King has a rich history of endorsing and echoing white nationalists, his most recent offense occurred in Austria where he met with a far-right party founded by a Nazi while on a trip paid for by Holocaust remembrance group. King later justified himself by saying that if that group was based in America, they’d be Republicans.

He has since been condemned by the head of the National Republican Congressional Committee and dropped by some companies that had funded his campaign.

Don’t worry, Mr. Curbelo: I can tell just by looking at you that Steve King doesn’t think you should be allowed to vote for him… or for anyone else.

  2. Funny how it took you to be on the verge of losing your job to finally make a peep against the white supremacists you’ve been tagging along with the past several years.

And TPM, the name is Carlos, not Chris.

  3. And what would he be saying if he wasn’t in a re-election fight? Probably nothing like the rest of the gop

  4. So, how many times has he voted against anything proposed by Twitler? I’m sure he’s a good little GOP soldier. Vote him out of office next week, please.

  5. Sure you wouldn’t. I totally believe you didn’t vote for Trump. Or that you will not cast votes for Scott and DeSantis. King and the rest of your lot a are birds of a feather shithead.
