On Monday night, while the Republican presidential contenders were busy debating one another on CNN, Bill O’Reilly was left with a need to fill airtime.

Luckily, it was the same day Glenn Beck kicked off GBTV, his new internet-only network. So O’Reilly aired a conversation with Beck — sporting a newly grown goatee and tattered polo shirt — from a few days earlier. Problem solved.

Opening the segment, O’Reilley said Beck looked like an “aging rock star” — a member of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, to be exact. Beck chatted with O’Reilly about the decline of the dollar, his new two-hour show and the earlier GOP debate on MSNBC.

“GBTV is a verb, not a noun,” Beck said, without explaining why. “This is for people who say, okay, now what? What do we do with this information?”

Beck isn’t sure who he’s voting for yet in 2012. After watching the MSNBC debate, Beck said he didn’t like many of the candidates. But one thing’s for sure, he said: Mitt Romney does not know the definition of a ponzi scheme. “Because clearly social security is a ponzi scheme,” Beck said.
