An anonymous TPMm Reader found one organization claiming to be headquartered in the group house co-owned by Lewis-aide-turned-lobbyist Letitia White: Small Biz Tech PAC.

The PAC’s chairman is Nick Karangelen, the CEO of Trident Systems, who, along with his wife, co-owns the house with White and her husband. The PAC’s biggest donor is the White couple, who have kicked in $15,000 to the group.

The organizaton claims its mission is to “establish a strong and clear voice for small technology businesses” on Capitol Hill. Now, PACs by their nature are supposed to hand out money — generally to candidates who support their cause. But the reports on the Small Biz Tech PAC show it has taken in over $100,000 but handed out less than $6,000 to candidates.

Meanwhile, it appears to have paid out over $40,000 to its director, Julia Willis-Leon, for “fundraising fees,” “retainers” “commissions” and “fundraising supplies.”
