Ah, Jeffrey Shockey, the aide to Rep. Jerry Lewis (R-CA) who worked for the Congressman until 1999, left to make millions as a lobbyist, then returned to Lewis’ staff but made more millions from the lobbying firm — even while working as a public servant.
It turns out that in 2004, his last year with the scandal-linked lobby firm Copeland Lowery, he made even more money than he thought. Half a mil more.
Shockey had reported previously that he made $1.5 million, but a closer review of his finances turned up an errant $500,000. So he restated his 2004 income to $2 million.
Of course, in 2005 he earned nearly $2 million from his old firm — while working as a Congressional staffer. Bless that fellow, he can’t stop the dollars from jumping into his pockets.
