Conservative radio host Bryan Fischer on Wednesday doubled down on his “Muslims have no first amendment rights” comments from last month, this time arguing that the United States should “restrict immigration from Islamic countries.”

Right Wing Watch reports that on Wednesday’s Focal Point radio show for the social conservative American Family Association, Fischer argued:

We allow unrestricted Muslim immigration into the United States. We are welcoming to our shores, welcoming to our borders, men who are determined to destroy us. They’ve said it themselves, it’s in their own writings, it’s in their own words; they’re out to eliminate and destroy western civilization. It’s just absolute folly to invite that kind of toxic cancer into our culture, but that’s what we’re doing every single day.

Watch, from around the 6:30 mark:

As Justin Elliott of Salon points out, Fischer has argued for deporting Muslims before. And he’s said that the U.S. should have “no more mosques, period” because “each Islamic mosque is dedicated to the overthrow of the American government.”

Fischer’s show is a frequent stop for conservative politicians, including most of the potential 2012 presidential field like Tim Pawlenty and Mike Huckabee.
