WATCH: Station Airs Touching Tribute To WDBJ Journalists Who Were Killed

Colleagues of the two journalists who were shot and killed during a live newscast Wednesday morning paid tribute to their fallen colleagues.

The two WDBJ journalists, reporter Alison Parker and cameraman Adam Ward, were shot during a live segment earlier that morning.

“He was the kind of guy on his way home from work and heard about something breaking — he would turn around and go do it,” said Jeff Marks, general manager of WDBJ.

“No matter what was going on, she was a positive person,” Marks said.

The colleagues recounted memories of the two journalists, who worked in the mornings.

“We’re all in a state of shock here. You can hear people behind us in the newsroom crying,” said newscaster Jean Jadhon.

Then the cycle beings again…days, weeks, or months later when yet another life is blotted out.
