Wal-Mart has named the person it has chosen as its first-ever “Global FCPA Compliance Officer,” a position announced in the wake of the company’s bribery in Mexico scandal.
Tom Gean, a former U.S. attorney for the Western District of Arkansas who has worked for Wal-Mart since 2004, was appointed to the position “earlier this year,” Reuters reports.
