Vance McAllister, a Republican of Louisiana, waits to be sworn in at the Capitol in Washington. McAllister says he's asking his family and constituents for forgiveness after a West Monroe newspaper published a video that it says shows the congressman kissing a female staffer in his congressional office in Monroe, La. McAllister, only in office a little over four months, attracted national attention because of his endorsement from the bearded men of the "Duck Dynasty" reality TV show. (AP Photo/J. Rep. Vance McAllister’s career in Congress may have been undone by an indiscreet kiss, but that doesn’t mean he can’t get a few at-bats in before he goes.

Roll Call reported Wednesday that McAllister is on the Republicans’ roster for the 53rd Congressional Baseball Game, which is scheduled for June.

McAllister announced last month that he would not seek re-election in the fall, following the release of a video that showed the married Republican kissing a female staff member. McAllister has stuck to his plan to serve out his term despite being asked to resign by House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA).
