The version of Donald Trump best loved by his base was on full display during his Wednesday night speech in Phoenix, Arizona. With pledges that Mexico will pay for a U.S.-Mexico border wall “100 percent,” every undocumented immigrant in the country will be deported, and sanctuary cities will no longer exist, Trump’s speech read as an anti-immigrant activist’s wish list.
Fox News’ Sean Hannity said the one-two punch of the GOP nominee’s impromptu trip to Mexico and immigration speech amounted to “the best day of his campaign.”
Other diehard supporters, including conservative media personalities, white nationalists, and alt-right Twitter activists, took to social media to express their approval.
Jared Taylor, head of white nationalist publication American Renaissance:
#TrumpAZ Hell of a speech. Almost perfect. Logical, deeply felt, and powerfully delivered. Now watch how the media twists it.
— Jared Taylor (@jartaylor) September 1, 2016
#TrumpAZ Donald Trump has tied our foolish immigration policies to every problem we have. This is a epochal, historic, unprecedented.

Former Ku Klux Klan leader and former member of the Louisiana House of Representatives David Duke:
Excellent speech by Donald Trump tonight. Deport criminal aliens, end catch and release, enforce immigration laws & America First.
— David Duke (@DrDavidDuke) September 1, 2016
Anti-immigrant publication Virginia Dare:
In a sane country, everything Trump has proposed tonight so far would be regarded as so obviously true it wouldn’t even be up for debate.
— Virginia Dare (@vdare) September 1, 2016
Alt-right leader Richard Spencer:
Agenda for August 31.
> Diplomacy in the morning.
> Nationalism in the evening. #Trump is back in a big way!— Richard B. Spencer (@RichardBSpencer) September 1, 2016
Dilbert cartoonist and Trump fan Scott Adams:
Trump sticks the landing by engineering a rare reverse-Khan. (Good luck, critics!) #TrumpAZ pic.twitter.com/suHTB7YCBl

Far-right pundit and author of “In Trump We Trust” Ann Coulter:
I hear Churchill had a nice turn of phrase, but Trump’s immigration speech is the most magnificent speech ever given.
— Ann Coulter (@AnnCoulter) September 1, 2016
I think I’ll watch this speech every night before going to bed so that I will sleep like a baby.

Far-right website Breitbart News:
We threw a great big party
Now our house is out of whack
So while we clean it up
The guests have to go backhttps://t.co/pdBpFLt4pF— Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) September 1, 2016
Prior to this election if you had asked me what I thought of America, I would have said that we were fundamentally a good people, with high ideals.
Then Along comes Trump, and while he is losing, I am appalled by how many “Americans” are, in fact, voting for him. I knew racism existed of course, I see it every day. But I did not realize how far we fall from the ideal of America because of it, or how deeply ingrained it is in our character. It is sad and depressing. We are better than this.
The pornography of hate on full display.
TPM , these people are racists. Please stop being so politically correct.
It is not fair to Scott Adams to lump him in with “white nationalists” and “anti-immigrant hardliners”. He has consistently said that his interest is Trump’s techniques of persuasion, and that he disagrees with him on policy.
He predicted a Trump win early in the GOP race (pre-Iowa, for Pete’s sake). Since then he’s predicted a Trump landslide in the general–purely based on analysis of persuasion techniques.

… And deeply stupid. Because it’s not logical to believe every problem in America is due to the people with the least power.
Where the fuck did these people learn their critical thinking skills (if you can call it thinking)? From Mein Kampf and Ayn Rand?
