Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are both putting aside politics on Friday, postponing their scheduled campaign events after five Dallas police officers were killed at the scene of a Black Lives Matter protest.

Trump was scheduled to host an event aiming to woo Hispanic voters in Miami. He was expected to appear with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, a contender for his running mate. The campaign confirmed the cancellation in a statement.

Clinton was slated to make her first appearance on the trail with Vice President Joe Biden in Pennsylvania after campaigning with President Obama this week. NBC News’ Andrea Mitchell reported on air that the event was postponed.
