South Dakota Sen. John Thune acknowledged that he had visited Romney campaign senior adviser Beth Myers, who is heading up the search for a running mate, in Boston in an interview with The Hill. Thune would not say whether he was being vetted. The Hill notes this is a change from a month ago, when Thune “freely admitted to The HIll that no one from Romney’s vetting team had contacted him.”
