As rumors swirled Tuesday about a campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination by Vice President Joe Biden, “The Daily Show” reminded us how Biden derailed his last presidential run.
“Whoa! Joe ‘Says You Can’t Go Into a 7-11 Without an Indian Accent, Asks a Guy in a Wheelchair to Stand Up, Praises a Guy’s Dead Mom Even Though She’s Still Alive’ Biden? How’s that gonna work?” host Jon Stewart asked.
Biden has yet to announce a candidacy or publicly acknowledge he’s looking at a potential run.
“The reason Loose-Lips McGee fucked up his 2008 presidential run is now the reason why he’s a viable candidate?” Stewart asked. “You know, not just blurting shit out, that’s a pre-Trump presidential quality. Post-Trump, it’s all about saying the crazy.”
But, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will still have to soften her image to keep up with a Biden candidacy.
“Hillary Clinton is doing gaffe prep as we speak,” correspondent Hasan Minhaj said.

Politico is apparently taking no chances, though. They already have an “article” surmising that because Biden took two weeks off after his son’s death, that he was contemplating resigning from office.
And was contemplating suicide. He also once took prescription pain medication. And he is the 18th cousin of HITLER!!!11!1!1111!1

I’m quite fond of Joe Biden. For all his ‘gaffes’ he has an authenticity missing in the modern, poll-tested, consultant groomed politicians. But I think VP is where he should end his career as an elected politician.
