Could Pope Francis be the Batman?

Reports that the “vigilante vicar” often leaves the Vatican at night in plain priest’s clothes to minister to the poor surprised Stephen Colbert on Wednesday.

The comedian found uncanny similarities between Bruce Wayne and the head of the Catholic church: both live alone in giant mansion-bachelor pads and drive tricked-out cars. 

And by the transitive property, Colbert showed it’s almost certain Pope Francis and Batman are one in the same. Batman talks to Morgan Freeman, Pope Francis talks to God — who is also Morgan Freeman — therefore, “Batpope.”
