One person was shot and killed outside the Madison County courthouse in Canton, Miss. just before 9 a.m. on Monday morning, according to local news reports.
The shooter, who has not been identified, has surrendered to police, the Clarion-Ledger reported. The victim was identified by his family as Kendrick Brown, according to the Clarion Ledger. District attorney Michael Guest said that Brown was on the circuit court docket on Monday for drug-related charges, according to Jackson television station WAPT.
Brown’s family told the Clarion-Ledger that the shooter was a local fireman, but that has not been confirmed.
But is the gun OK? I hope nobody dropped it or anything? I mean during the confusion of the confrontation, anything could happen to the poor thing!
Wonder if someone’s testimony might have be worrying someone else.
Well the solution is clearly to arm all the perps in court. Just think about it…if all the criminals had guns this could have been prevented. After all…how silly is it to rely on a good guy with a gun when a bad guy will do just as well?
I just wonder if maybe it’s a “concerned citizen” who finally went of the deep end and decided to finally “do something about it”.
I’m sure it was by one of those “responsible” gun owners!
