When asked in an interview with Wisconsin radio station WTMJ on Wednesday if celebrity mogul Donald Trump could win the Republican nomination, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) said yes, it’s possible.
“Yeah, I think right now, he’s got a plurality, not a majority. So in the end, if it gets down to a just handful of candidates, he’s probably not the nominee. But if there’s a strong group of Republicans still at the end, again a plurality leads the way in these early caucus states,” Walker said.
Walker told the station that when he suspended his own campaign for President he didn’t expect people to change their support the next day. He still urged presidential candidates to reflect if their candidacy is doing more harm than good.
“I think there’s such a big field,” Walker said. “I think in the end a majority of voters want someone conservative for sure, but with a positive message, much like President Reagan had.”
When asked to reflect on his failed presidential bid, Walker was in good spirits.
“I’ve got a pretty good day job,” he said. “Instead of doing what a lot of candidates do and sit back and whine about this, that or whatever, to me, I accept it for what it is. It is what it is.”
Listen to the audio, from WTMJ, below. He talks Trump at about 13:50:
Who?
You know, that famous Koch sock puppet from Wisconsin! He’s got a Koch hand up his ass, and let me tell you, it’s just the way he likes it!
I suppose it is also still technically “possible” that Walker will be the nominee. But like Wayne said, it is also possible that monkeys will come flying out of his ass.
Seriously, I couldn’t remember who “Walker” was. And that’s the only interesting thing about this, the way the big Middle American Governor Threat sank beneath the waves. Of course it’s possible Trump could be the nominee. It’s possible, if everyone wanted to, that we could amend the Constitution over the next 13 months and elect an armadillo President. It’s also possible “Walker” will say something worth hearing in that time. But all of these possibilities are very remote.
Wow! So he’s still finding ways to infuriate the Koch brothers is he? Not only did he burn all their cash in his horrid and short-lived campaign, but now he’s suggesting that any of their other investment candidates “might” just meet a similar fate and fall at the hands of the crazy but rich outsider.
