The President is being dishonest? Are his lips moving?
We groundlings can point out that this is obvious and a huge understatement. But this is a Congressional leader who’s in a position to know calling the president of the United States a liar about a matter of life, death, and international relations. It’s like asking a loudmouth in a bar to step outside if he wants to do something about it, a challenge and an expression of contempt. I also think he’s saying they don’t intend to let this one go. I read somewhere recently that we could certainly sanction MBS appropriately without some huge economic sacrifice, and that Trump isn’t protecting him, he’s protecting himself. There’s always a reason for it when he does something sickening like this.
“The water feels a little warmer,“ said the frog.
“Wonderful thing, subpenee”.
Schiff says Trump’s modus operandi “cannot be the guiding principle behind our foreign policy.”
Someone should ask him what is.
