Rick Santorum turned a question about contraception into a defense of the future of children born out of wedlock. “We have a problem in this country,” Santorum said. “How can a country survive” when children are being raised in homes where it’s so hard economically? But just because we have a problem, he added, doesn’t mean I want government to fix it.
