Romney campaign’s senior adviser Eric Fehrnstrom told Fox News Thursday morning that President Obama “needs to be held accountable for his administration’s attempts to mislead the American people about what happened” in Benghazi, Libya. Fehrnstrom is referring to the Obama administration’s response to the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Wednesday suggested a link between an al-Qaeda faction in North Africa and the attack on U.S. diplomats, according to the New York Times. But the State Department previously downplayed the connection.
