At Mike Huckabee’s undecided voter forum in South Carolina Saturday, Rick Santorum was asked by a member of the audience how it is he can oppose abortion even in the case of rape and incest but also support capital punishment.

“How is the taking of an adult life different than taking the life of the unborn?” the questioner asked.

“I believe that all innocent human life should be protected,” Santorum replied. “With respect to the death penalty we’re not talking about innocent human life.”
