Police say Miami Dolphins football player Richie Incognito took a baseball bat to his own car at his home in Scottsdale, Ariz., ESPN reported Thursday.

Scottsdale Police Sgt. Mark Clark said police went to Incognito’s home on Wednesday after TMZ Sports gave the department a photo of a black Ferrari with several dents on the hood and a piece of a bat lodged in its grill.

Incognito then took responsibility for the damage to the Ferrari when police contacted him Thursday, Clark said. No report was filed.

An NFL-ordered report released earlier this month found that Incognito and two other Dolphins players harassed teammate Jonathan Martin, who left the team in November because he said he was being bullied by Incognito.
