An official in Mali says the democratically elected President Amadou Toumani Toure has resigned, reports the Associated Press. Toure has been in hiding since a coup last month. The chief-of-staff to the president of the National Assembly says he learned through a phone call that an emissary is on route with an official letter of resignation.
