Apple will hold an event on September 12, 2012 to unveil a new iPhone, according to a report in The New York Times. The blog iMore first reported the date on Monday, stating that a new, smaller-screen iPad would also make its debut at the same event. iMore also reported that the new iPhone would go on sale nine days later, on September 21.
