Report: Christie Spending $1.5 Million On First Campaign Ad

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R)

The re-election campaign of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) on Wednesday will release its first television ad for this election cycle, the National Journal reported.

A 60-second spot that will run through May 12 in New York City and Philadelphia media markets, the ad will cost Christie’s campaign $1.5 million, according to National Journal.

Boasting an eye-popping approval rating and facing a largely unknown opponent, Christie appears poised to coast to a second term. Polls have consistently shown Christie with commanding leads over his likely Democratic challenger, state Sen. Barbara Buono.
