Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is doubling down on his claim that a Bain Capital investor told him Mitt Romney “didn’t pay taxes for 10 years.” In a call with Nevada reporters Wednesday, Reid said: “I am not basing this on some figment of my imagination. I have had a number of people tell me that.”
Reid told reporters that he won’t reveal his alleged source. “I don’t think the burden should be on me,” he said, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “The burden should be on him. He’s the one I’ve alleged has not paid any taxes. Why didn’t he release his tax returns?”
