A pro-Hillary Clinton political action committee officially launched Tuesday. The group, Ready for Hillary PAC, said in a written release that it already has 100,000 supporters of a 2016 presidential run for the former secretary of state.
As the New York Times reported over the weekend, the group is composed of former campaign staffers and volunteers. The group’s release also announced a pledge to “help Hillary should she decide to run in 2016.”
The PAC’s chairwoman, Allida Black, said in an email to supporters: “We are going to keep up the energy and excitement surrounding her potential candidacy. To succeed we need to start building an extensive field program — getting neighbors talking to neighbors, organizing on college campuses, and putting together the winning team of supporters that will help Hillary win in 2016. Together, let’s send a resounding message that America is ready for Hillary. Stand with us today!”
