Freedom PAC, the committee working to elect Connie Mack to the Senate, has cut a new ad attacking Sen. Bill Nelson for going along with President Obama in opposing the Keystone Pipeline, reports the Miami Herald. Mack has made Keystone a big issue in his campaign against Nelson this year — although Mack still has to win his GOP primary before he officially faces Nelson.
Freedom PAC’s ad also features a cameo from Mack’s father, former Florida Sen. Connie Mack III. Mack’s Republican rival, former Sen. George LeMieux, has accused mack of running trying to run on his father’s coattails.
