A police officer shot and killed a man on Wednesday during a confrontation outside the at Port Columbus International Airport in Ohio, according to The Columbus Dispatch.
Neither the officer nor the man were immediately identified, the Dispatch reported, and it was unclear whether the man who was killed was armed.
Police responded to a disturbance at the entrance of the terminal at around 1 p.m., a spokesperson for the airport, David Whitaker, told the newspaper. A confrontation reportedly ensued and the man was shot.
Whitaker told the paper a vehicle was being searched by a fire department bomb squad and may have been involved in the incident.
He said they believed the incident was isolated and not related to terrorism.
Flights were “operating normally” with “departing passengers entering terminal on arrivals level,” according to a tweet from the Port Columbus Twitter account.

Next two years are gonna be a great time to be a coroner. LOTS more will be needed and will drive salaries way up. That’s good for the economy with higher wages [for coroners] and fewer black people (cause they’re dead, been shot by police) to suck all the money out of the welfare systems.

I would REALLY prefer to wait for some actual facts rather than rushing off with the sketchy “information” in this “story,”. The comment above indicates an assumption that a cop shot an innocent black person, although there was nothing in this post to support that. This is how rumors get started and misinformation gets ingrained.
Breaking News should have some semblance of information. Just wait, TPM, until you have some details about the incident.
