Secretary of State John Kerry posted a photo welcoming Cuban foreign minister Bruno Rodriguez to the State Department to his Twitter account on Monday.

Rodriguez was in town to preside over a flag-raising ceremony at the U.S. embassy that symbolically marked the restoration of full diplomatic relations with Cuba, according to the Associated Press. His visit to the State Department is the first by a Cuban foreign minister since 1958.
