Peter King: ‘I’ll Jump Off That Bridge When We Come To It’ If Cruz Wins (VIDEO)

Rep. Peter King (R-NY) on Monday afternoon doubled down on his statement mocking Sen. Ted cruz (R-TX) as a carnival barker” after the Texas senator announced that he would run for president in 2016.

CNN’s Wolf Blitzer asked King whether he would support Cruz if he won the Republican nomination.

“I just hope that day never comes. I’ll jump off that bridge when we come to it,” King responded.

The congressman called Cruz “a guy with a big mouth and no results.”

“We have very, very complex issues facing the country today, and he goes out of his way to oversimplify,” King said. “Ted Cruz may be an intelligent person, but he doesn’t carry out an intelligent debate.”

King has never been a big fan of Cruz. Earlier in March, King said that Cruz and 2016 hopeful Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) are not “responsible adults.”

  2. I’m expecting a second Civil War if Cruz wins.

  3. If Cruz wins, there will be no bridges to jump off of. Whoever heard of an underwater bridge?

  4. If only Peter King could jump off that bridge now and save us all the suspense.

Rest easy folks. Cruz couldn’t even get enough support to announce from his home State. He had to go to LU to find an audience with the kind of spontaneous unity one generally finds at a People’s Republic of Korea rally.
