Texas Gov. Rick Perry said Tuesday that President Obama has been an “absolute failure” on the budget process, adding that it irresponsible to let the Super Committee’s failure to reach an agreement hurt the Pentagon’s bottom line.
“We had a President of the United States who is not a leader. He pitched this over to them and said ‘y’all figure this out,” Perry said.
“Even his own Secretary of Defense said it was irresponsible. As a matter of fact, if Leon Panetta is an honorable man, he should resign in protest,” Perry said.
