Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty has told the Romney campaign to look at other possible VP choices in their search for a running mate, Pawlenty said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” “I’ve really encouraged folks too look at other prospects and to suggest I think I can help him best in other ways,” Pawlenty said Sunday.
I’ve indicated that I think I can best serve Romney in other ways. In particular, as a volunteer and surrogate speaker in places where he can’t go. I’ve encouraged people who asked this question in the campaign to look at other prospects.
This week, it was reported that Tim Pawlenty was one the top contenders to be Mitt Romney’s running mate and that his campaign was seriously vetting the former governor.
