President Barack Obama is expected to deliver a statement on the situation in Ukraine Friday at 11:30 a.m. ET, the White House said.
The President will likely address the Malaysia Airlines plane that was shot down Thursday over Eastern Ukraine. Obama previously pledged assistance to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in investigating the plane crash.
He names the culprit in this statement.

Well Putin was a cold blooded murderer long before this happened, he’s not going to stop now. Hero and role model to our own GOP, he’s pandered to the craziest and most violent elements in his society to whip up support for himself and push his country to the brink of war. He’s had to arm them, of course, but in our country they come pre-armed with military weapons. If you want to see where the USA is headed, just look at eastern Ukraine. JM calls the situation there Putin’s f-up, but I don’t see how this changes Putin’s calculations in a material way. He’s a murderer anyway, and for his own domestic optics the dramatic body count is a feature, not a bug. Like our own GOP, he will merely claim he is being victimized himself.
Right wing gun worshiping American tea party separatists note Putin’s success with interest and envy. They’ve always been playing the same game. Give them rocket launchers and you will have the same result.
