The National Rifle Association on Monday rattled off a series of tweets mocking Kim Kardashian, after a group of gunmen robbed the reality TV star in Paris.
“Does anyone know if they passed a background check first?” the NRA tweeted.
Wait, criminals held @KimKardashian at gunpoint in Paris? How is that possible? Does anyone know if they passed a background check first?

It’s shocking that these criminals did not subject themselves to Paris’ strict #guncontrol laws before committing this awful crime.

Stronger gun laws… like the ones they have in Paris? #askingforafriend https://t.co/xHUhViDtpN

Armed robbers stole more than $10 million worth of jewelry from Kardashian early Monday morning after tying her up and locking her in the bathroom, according to a report by the Associated Press.
A spokeswoman told the AP that Kardashian was shaken but physically unharmed.
Kardashian previously spoke out in favor of gun control in June, when she took to Twitter to criticize the Senate for its inaction after the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida.
So sad! The senate voted against background checks being needed to buy guns. So terrorists on fbi’s wanted lists can legally still buy guns

Oh & mentally ill people can buy guns without a background check too.

The fact that anyone can so easily access guns is so scary & after all of the devastating loss the Senate should have not failed us!!!
