Better late than never. A “Morning Joe” producer taught co-host Mika Brzezinski the proper technique to shotgun a beer on Thursday morning.
After reading an excerpt on-air from Sen. Claire McCaskill‘s (D-MO) book, in which the senator described that how her daughters taught her how to shotgun a beer after then-Rep. Todd Akin won the Missouri GOP Senate primary, the host and guests were visibly confused.
“How do you shotgun a beer?” Brzezinski asked. “What is ‘shotgun a beer’? What?”
“What is ‘shotgun a beer’? What?” Brzezinski repeated.
Producer Alex Korson gave them the proper technique: “You cut a hole in the side of the beer, then you pop open the top so the air flow is much more, it comes out very quickly.”
