Michael Steele, former Republican National Committee chair and lieutenant governor of Maryland, told Buzzfeed News on Friday morning that he will not vote for Donald Trump, citing the Republican nominee’s appeal to racists.

At a dinner for the magazine Mother Jones, Steele told Buzzfeed News that Trump has “captured that racist underbelly, that frustration, that angry underbelly of American life and gave voice to that.”

“I will not be voting for Clinton,” he said. “I will not be voting for Trump either.”

Steele said that Trump does not represent the whole Republican party and that he was “damn near puking during the debates.”
