Rep. Buck McKeon (R-Calif.), chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, said he finds it unlikely the White House is “even contemplating” asking for approval from Congress for a military strike on Syria, in an interview Friday evening on Fox News’s “Hannity.”

“I don’t get the feeling that they’re even contemplating that. When I first had my call earlier in the week, I almost was thinking that this would already have been done,” McKeon said, adding that he’s had three phone calls with the White House, in which officials have been clear that Obama has yet to reach a decision on what action, if any, to take in Syria.
