Democrats are eager to paint this as showing a lack of enthusiasm for the Republican field and Mitt Romney in particular; the DNC chair saying: “In state after state, turnout among Republican voters is lower than it was in 2008, and they are increasingly dissatisfied with their choice of candidates.”
