A St. Louis County judge on Tuesday denied a motion to release the juvenile record of Michael Brown, the black teen shot and killed by a Ferguson, Mo. police officer in August, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Two media organizations filed lawsuits last week asking a judge to release any juvenile arrest records for Brown.

Family Court Judge Ellen Levy Siwak denied the request without giving a reason, according to the Post-Dispatch.

While the court will not release Brown’s juvenile arrest record, a Missouri court official reportedly said that Brown was never convicted of a serious felony as a juvenile.
