A judge on Tuesday lifted an order prohibiting the release of investigation records into the Tucson shooting that killed six people and injured former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, the Associated Press reports.
The order signed Monday by U.S. District Judge Larry Burns and released Tuesday grants a motion by the Arizona Daily Star, a Tucson newspaper….
It’s now up to the Pima County Sheriff’s Office to respond to media requests for records.
Judge Burns initially sealed the records to ensure shooter Jared Loughner received a fair trial. Since Loughner has plead guilty, he determined the documents may now be released.
