Jon Stewart made his triumphant return to “The Daily Show” on Tuesday after a summer-long hiatus.
After an opening segment during which John Oliver – with an assist from Stephen Colbert — reassimilated the longtime host, Stewart told his audience how much he missed helming the Comedy Central staple.
From there, Oliver filled Stewart in on what he missed over the summer — giving special attention to a certain scandal that involved Stewart’s old pal, Anthony Weiner.
“No one really calls him Anthony Weiner anymore,” Oliver said.
