The GOP’s midterm victory appeared so complete Tuesday evening that “The Daily Show” had no choice but to interview Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus.
“Is this the greatest night of your life?” Stewart asked the chairman, describing the “bloodbath” underway as Democrats lost control of the Senate.
A smiling Priebus called the night “historic” and said he expected there was more to come.
Stewart then needled the RNC chair on whether or not the Republicans are ready to actually govern and move on from Ebola fearmongering and comparing Obama to “Stalin.”
“For six years, they have been in an oppositional position, trying to stop anything,” Stewart said. “Is it going to be hard to stop that? Is it going to be hard to…do things?”
Priebus suggested the ball is now in the President’s court.
“It starts with the President, so now I think we can box him in and get this done,” he replied.
After hearing that CNN was using a bright red lightshow on top of the Empire State building to mark the GOP Senate majority, Stewart offered a suggestion of his own.
“I can imagine CNN should have used [Priebus’] erection tonight, because I believe that may even be more visible than the Empire State building spire,” he said.

Another reason I’ve had it with Stewart. He’s always lobbed softballs at Republicans he’s had on his show, while bashing the crap out of Democrats when it matters the most.

Be careful what you wish for,this took Seventy(70) years for the Republicans to get here.They have (2) to stay here,and older electorate showed up this time there will be a different electorate in (2) years,a more informed electorate by then.The Republican spin machine started early on and never let up.
