Joint Chiefs Chairman: DoD ‘Doubling Down’ On Efforts To Prevent Sexual Assault (VIDEO)

Gen. Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, penned a blog post on Wednesday in response to a scathing report that detailed a spike in sexual assault in the military last year.

“The Joint Chiefs and leaders across the DOD are deeply invested in making the institutional changes necessary to prevent sexual assault and to respond appropriately when it occurs,” Dempsey wrote. “Weʼre doubling down on our efforts towards prevention, victim support, investigations, and accountability, while preserving the rights of those accused.”
