House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) will undergo a minor medical procedure related to back problems, his office said Wednesday.

“The Speaker is having a minor, unscheduled medical procedure related to recurring back problems,” Boehner spokesman Michael Steel said in a statement.

The procedure will reportedly alter the speaker’s schedule for the day.
