Jack McCain, Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) son, is not having any of the racist backlash to an Old Navy ad featuring an interracial couple.
The clothing retailer faced backlash over the weekend after featuring a mixed-race family in one of their tweets advertising a sale. McCain, like many other people who are a part of interracial families and relationships, fought back Monday against the Twitter trolls attacking the ad.
His message? “Eat it.”
To the people upset about the #OldNavy “Scandal” of an a picture of a mixed race marriage, eat it. @Reneeitchka pic.twitter.com/yA5YwbZRcm

McCain, a Navy lieutenant and helicopter pilot, is married to Air Force Reserve Capt. Renee Swift, who is black. Mccain followed up with another pointed tweet several minutes later that showed a photo of him and Swift on their wedding day:
I hope this one burns too, you ignorant racists. Here is us on our wedding day. @Reneeitchka pic.twitter.com/1VSd2gqH9W

Swift also took to Twitter to show her support for Old Navy and share a snap of her and McCain.
I was just in @OldNavy this weekend! Bought something for me and my husband. #LoveWins pic.twitter.com/fE5s97yDny
