Is The Arab Spring Succeeding? Rep. West: ‘Ask The Coptic Christians’

Rep. Allen West (R-FL) lashed out Monday at the optimism of some Middle Eastern democratic reformers. In a tweet, West suggested that the so-called “Arab Spring” was faltering in the wake of weekend violence in Egypt that has killed at least 25 people. “Ya think the ‘Arab Spring’ is working?” wrote West. “Ask the Coptic Christians who are fighting for survival in Egypt, Israeli’s already know the deal.”
