Iowa State Fair: No, Trump Can’t Give Helicopter Rides To Kids Here

July 31, 2015 4:01 p.m.

Despite what Donald Trump said, he did not ask for permission to bring his helicopter to the Iowa State Fair — and his request would’ve been denied had he asked, a representative from the fair told The Des Moines Register.

“I’m going to try giving kids lifts in the helicopter,” Trump told The Daily Mail Wednesday, adding that he asked for permission from the Iowa State fair.

He told the tabloid he would operate the rides at his own expense and risk.

“He is welcome to land his helicopter anywhere outside the grounds and take people on rides or whatever he would like to do,” said Mindy Williamson, state fair spokeswoman told The Des Moines Register on Thursday. “But that will not be happening on Iowa State Fair grounds.”
