Google on Tuesday unveiled a video ad for its new Google Maps and Google Earth integration with select Audi cars, through Audi Connect software (found on Audi A3, A6, A7 and A8 model lines). The ad, which is clearly marked as a “dramatization,” attempts to show off the new software’s capabilities, specifically voice activated location searches and voice-guided turn-by-turn directions through Google Maps, though much of the ad’s visual imagery isn’t actually displayed in the cars and is instead mock-ups of Google Maps icons laid over the real world.
